Changing Service Details

Need to update your service? Here's what you can change and how.

What You Can Change:

  • Service description
  • Location/address
  • Date and time
  • Special instructions
  • Service duration estimate

How to Change Service Details:

Before Service Starts:
1. Go to your Dashboard
2. Select your upcoming service
3. Click "Edit Service Details"
4. Make your changes
5. Your Pro will be notified

During the Service:

  • Discuss changes directly with your Pro
  • Additional work may adjust the final price
  • Your Pro can update service time if needed

What Requires Pro Approval:

Some changes need your Pro's agreement:

  • Significant scope increases
  • Location changes
  • Time extensions
  • Additional services

Price Adjustments:

  • Scope increases: May increase final price
  • Scope decreases: Discuss with Pro before service
  • Time changes: Pro can adjust hours worked
  • All changes reflected in final invoice

Communication is Key:

  • Message your Pro through the chat
  • Be clear about changes
  • Ask about pricing impact
  • Confirm they have necessary tools/supplies

If Your Pro Disagrees:

  • Discuss alternatives
  • Consider booking a separate service
  • Or choose to cancel and find a different Pro

Tips for Smooth Changes:

  • Update details as soon as possible
  • Be specific about what changed
  • Add photos if helpful
  • Confirm Pro has received updates
