How Payment Works

Royal Palm Home Services uses a secure payment system to protect both customers and Pros.

Payment Process:

1. Add Payment Method
- Credit/debit card
- Stored securely in your account
- Not shared with Pros

2. Authorization Hold
- When you book, we place a temporary hold
- This reserves funds but doesn't charge yet
- Based on estimated service cost

3. Service Completion
- Your Pro marks the service complete
- Final time and any adjustments calculated
- You review and approve the work

4. Final Charge
- Charged after you approve completion
- Based on actual hours worked
- Includes any agreed-upon expenses

5. Receipt & Invoice
- Emailed to you automatically
- Available in your Dashboard
- Shows detailed breakdown

Pricing Structure:

  • Hourly Rate: Set by each Pro
  • Minimum Hours: Usually 1 hour
  • Trust & Support Fee: Small percentage for platform services
  • Expenses: Supplies/materials (when applicable)

When You're Charged:

You're only charged after:

  • The service is completed
  • You've had a chance to review the work
  • Within 24 hours of completion

Payment Security:

  • PCI-DSS compliant payment processing
  • Your payment info is encrypted
  • Pros never see your full card details
  • Fraud monitoring and protection

Accepted Payment Methods:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Discover
  • Debit cards with credit card logos

Payment Issues:

If your payment fails:

  • We'll notify you immediately
  • Update your payment method
  • Reattempt the charge
  • Contact support if problems persist
