How Payment Works
Royal Palm Home Services uses a secure payment system to protect both customers and Pros.
Payment Process:
1. Add Payment Method
- Credit/debit card
- Stored securely in your account
- Not shared with Pros
2. Authorization Hold
- When you book, we place a temporary hold
- This reserves funds but doesn't charge yet
- Based on estimated service cost
3. Service Completion
- Your Pro marks the service complete
- Final time and any adjustments calculated
- You review and approve the work
4. Final Charge
- Charged after you approve completion
- Based on actual hours worked
- Includes any agreed-upon expenses
5. Receipt & Invoice
- Emailed to you automatically
- Available in your Dashboard
- Shows detailed breakdown
Pricing Structure:
- Hourly Rate: Set by each Pro
- Minimum Hours: Usually 1 hour
- Trust & Support Fee: Small percentage for platform services
- Expenses: Supplies/materials (when applicable)
When You're Charged:
You're only charged after:
- The service is completed
- You've had a chance to review the work
- Within 24 hours of completion
Payment Security:
- PCI-DSS compliant payment processing
- Your payment info is encrypted
- Pros never see your full card details
- Fraud monitoring and protection

Payment Issues:
If your payment fails:
- We'll notify you immediately
- Update your payment method
- Reattempt the charge
- Contact support if problems persist
