Email verification is an important security step to protect your account and ensure you receive important notifications.

Why Email Verification is Required

How to Verify Your Email

Automatic Verification Email:

After creating your account:
1. Check your email inbox
2. Look for email from "Royal Palm Home Services"
3. Subject: "Verify Your Email Address"
4. Click the verification link
5. You'll be redirected to confirmation page
6. Email is now verified!

Verification Link:

  • Unique to your account
  • Valid for 24 hours
  • Single use only
  • Automatically logs you in

Didn't Receive Verification Email?

Check These First:

1. Spam/Junk Folder:

  • Email may be filtered as spam
  • Check spam, junk, promotions folders
  • Mark as "Not Spam" for future emails

2. Email Address Spelling:

  • Log into your account
  • Check email address in Account Settings
  • Make sure it's spelled correctly
  • Update if wrong

3. Wait a Few Minutes:

  • Emails can take 5-15 minutes
  • Check periodically
  • Don't request multiple times immediately

4. Email Provider Delays:

  • Some providers delay emails
  • Corporate/school emails may block
  • Try personal email instead

5. Inbox Full:

  • Check if email box is full
  • Delete old emails
  • Try receiving verification email again

Resending Verification Email

How to Request a New Email:

Through Account Settings:
1. Log into your account
2. Go to Account Settings
3. Look for "Email Not Verified" banner
4. Click "Resend Verification Email"
5. Check your inbox

Through Login Page:
1. Try to log in
2. You'll see "Email not verified" message
3. Click "Resend Verification Email"
4. Check your inbox

Through Support:

  • Contact support
  • Provide your account email
  • We'll manually resend
  • May verify your identity first

Limits:

  • Can request new email every 10 minutes
  • Maximum 5 per day
  • Prevents spam and abuse

Verification links expire after 24 hours:

Limited Access Banner:

  • Shows at top of page
  • "Please verify your email to access all features"
  • Click to resend verification
  • Dismissible but returns

After Verification

Confirmation:

  • "Email verified successfully!" message
  • Redirected to dashboard
  • Full account access
  • Can now book/accept services

Next Steps:

For Customers:

Verification Issues for Pros

Additional Verification:

Pro accounts may require:

  • Phone number verification
  • Identity document upload
  • Background check authorization
  • Banking information verification

Each Must Be Completed:

  • Email verification first
  • Then other verifications
  • Follow prompts in app
  • Check email for instructions
  • Contact Pro support if stuck

Pro Approval Process:

  • Email verification (immediate)
  • Background check (5-7 days)
  • Document review (1-2 days)
  • Final approval notification
  • Can start working

Multiple Email Addresses

Primary Email:

  • Used for login
  • Receives all notifications
  • Cannot have duplicates
  • Required to be verified

Backup Email:

  • Add in Account Settings
  • Used for account recovery
  • Optional but recommended
  • Must also be verified

Changing Primary Email:
1. Add new email as backup
2. Verify new email
3. Make new email primary
4. Old email becomes backup
5. Can remove old email

Corporate or School Emails

Verification Link Not Working:
